Spaghetti with Olives and Spicy Sauce

Ingredients

  • Del Monte Spaghetti Pasta – 300 grams
  • Del Monte Extra Virgin Olive Oil – 2½ tbsp
  • Del Monte Sliced Green Olives – 2-3 tbsp
  • Garlic-chopped – 1 tsp
  • Onion-chopped – 1 medium
  • Tomato puree – 1 cup
  • Basil (fresh or dried) – handful if fresh or 1 tsp if dried
  • Salt & red chilli flakes – to taste
  • Grated cheese – 2-3 tbsp

Method

  1. Heat olive oil in a frying pan. Sauté garlic & onion until translucent. Add tomato puree, simmer for a while & finish with the sliced olives, basil, salt & red chilli flakes.
  2. Cook Spaghetti in 3 litres of salted boiling water for 7-8 minutes, stirring occasionally & drain well.
  3. Serve hot spaghetti topped with spicy sauce & grated cheese.
