Tagliatelle Neapolitana with Chunky Ham

Ingredients

  • Del Monte Gourmet Tagliatelle Pasta – 300 gms
  • Del Monte Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce – a bottle
  • Del Monte Pomace Olive Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Garlic Chopped – 1 tsp
  • Cherry Tomatoes, halved – 100 grams
  • Soya Chunks / Chicken Ham Chunks – 160 grams
  • Salt & Cracked Pepper – to taste
  • Fresh Basil leaves – handful

Garnish

  • Fresh Basil leaves – a few
  • Parmesan Cheese – shavings – 2 – 3 tbsp

Method

  1. Heat olive oil in a frying pan, sauté chopped garlic and add fresh soya or ham chunks in it, fry until they start turning brown from all the sides.
  2. Add cherry tomatoes and Tomato and Basil Sauce. Season well with salt & freshly cracked black pepper. Simmer until pasta is cooked and ready to mix. Finish with handful of fresh basil leaves.
  3. Cook Tagliatelle pasta in 3 litres of salted boiling water, stirring occasionally for 4 – 5 minutes and drain well.
  4. Mix cooked tagliatelle with the prepared chunky sauce and serve immediately. Garnish with parmesan shavings & fresh basil leaves.
